2.0The information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us when you get in touch:

  • Details submitted through our contact form — your name, email address, phone number, postcode and message;
  • Information you provide when you email, call or message us directly, including our correspondence with you;
  • Details needed to prepare quotations and carry out work, such as your property address.

We do not collect any special category (sensitive) personal data through this website, and this site is not directed at children.

3.0How and why we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare and follow up quotations, arrange and carry out building work, and keep reasonable records of our correspondence. Our lawful bases for this are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running our business and responding to the people who contact us.

4.0Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this website and communicate with you — our website hosting provider and our email provider — and where we are required to by law.

5.0How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. Where work is carried out, we keep records for as long as necessary to meet our legal and insurance obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

6.0Cookies

This website uses essential cookies only — small files needed to make the site function and to serve pages quickly through caching. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this notice.

7.0Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to restrict or object to our processing of it; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, just contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
